Construction of new Power Station Forsthaus Bern
The new Power Station Forsthaus Bern is made up of a 50-m high waste bunker, a 300-m long industrial hall up to 45 m in height and a 70-m high prefabricated Tower.
With the exception of the subconstruction for the air condensers, the supporting structures are concrete constructions and were reduced to the minimum required supporting load-bearing elements in order to ensure maximum flexibility. Whereas the high walls of the waste bunker, which act as panels, were constructed of in-situ concrete, prefabricated concrete ele-ments were used for the wide-span floor slabs and the high façades of the main office and of the tower.
