Production hall Implenia Schweiz AG Holzbau Rümlang
New factory workshop with offices for the timber engineering division of Implenia Schweiz AG in Rümlang.
The new production facility will enable the efficient production of timber elements on a floor space of 58 x 60m in future. The 10m high building is split into 5 sub-workshops well as an office floor above workshop 1. 31 in-situ cast concrete supports are fixed in the flat foundation slab; these ensure the horizontal stabilisation and bear the longitudinal trusses of the saw-tooth roofs as well as the 14m span box elements of the office floor. The office storey has a floor space of 38 x 14m and is designed as a timber framework construction with saddleback roof.
All of the 10 - 15m span workshop trusses are of structural beech and could be made on site beneath a mobile tent thanks to a multi-part design and joint connections with self-tapping, fully threaded screws.
8 gantry crane systems are planned in the production halls spanning the respective workshop width. In addition, a total of 10 wall-travelling cranes are planned whose range of 6m can cover half the width of the workshop. The crane tracks that are fastened horizontally to the supports as trusses span approx. 12m from support to support.
